The roots of one of the oldest bakeries and pastry shops in the Zillertal and thus the family Kostner are in the South Tyrolean Val Gardena. In 1931 Karl Kostner was born as fourth child into the world. He graduated from the baker's apprentice in the family business, the confectionery doctrine of 1949 - 1951 in theconfectionery "Ziltener" in Vordertal and volunteered in the pastry shop "Baggenstoß" inRichterswil in Switzerland. He then went on to train and practice among others in the pastry shop "Zauner" in Bad Ischl and the then well-known pastry shop, "Schindler" in Innsbruck, where he met his future wife, Johanna Siller. After he had passed in 1954 the master craftsman he opened in 1954 next to the bakery, a pastry shop inside his parents' house. After the first renovation in 1955, the confectionery and the self-service café have been extended. 1955 is the birth year of Carl Peter Kostner, the first son of five children. He completed his training as a pastry chef in Hall at the company "Meißl". Carl-Peter was a passionate tournament and ballet dancer (three-time winner in Austrian tournament dance championships). He joined the dance training in Innsbruck with his profession and worked in the bakery "Murauer" at this time. In 1977, he got his master's certificate as a confectioner and 1983 as a baker. |
